Private Teletherapy Practice
Lifestrings: Mental Health & Well-Being, LLC
Whether you are wanting to learn more about your behaviors, or wanting to process life events or relationships, or just generally feeling stuck — I am here to help. Individual therapy is centered around you. I believe you are the expert of your own life. Individual therapy is a collaborative process that unlocks your strengths and potential. Through individual therapy you will learn more about your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.
My practice with couples is rooted in the scientifically supported theory that we all have a deep longing for attention, interest, and responsiveness from our loved ones. When those needs go unmet, we get stuck in a pattern of automatic responses. I want to work to help couples uncover the needs of both partners and the patterns they get stuck in. My hope is to collaboratively work together to resolve conflict, develop great communication with one another, and ultimately create a healthier and loving relationship.
I specialize in nontraditional relationships of all kinds. I work with polyamorous and non-monogamous individuals, couples, triads, and pods as well as monogamous couples considering opening up. I understand the cultures and complexities of swinging, BDSM, and kink relationships, and I work with people at all different places on the gender, orientation, and attraction spectrums.
I specialize in working with children and teenagers who struggle with anxiety, depression, school issues, past trauma, home environment, peer/family relationships and life changes. I focus on normalizing the regular ups and downs of life to help children and teens find peace and direction. I offer a collaborative approach through play therapy and working closely with the important adults in a child’s life. I strive to provide a safe place where teens and children can feel heard and be themselves.
Artists and Creative Professionals
As a creative professional, you know art is not what you do, but who you are. It’s how you think, how you feel, and how you see the world. You also understand creatives are not immune to life’s surprises. The everyday challenges of work and relationships can cause us to become stuck and uninspired, leading to stress and eventual burnout. My background has equipped me to work with creative and business professionals of all types. I would love to hear your story, understand your unique challenges, and help you develop creative solutions for achieving the life you want.
Your past is part of you, but it doesn’t have to define you. Trauma can come in many forms: physical or sexual abuse, a toxic relationship or work environment, a neglectful childhood, the death of a loved one, or perhaps witnessing a traumatic event. Trauma changes us, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I am here to offer a safe space for you to process your trauma – I will validate your experience and use the latest research-based techniques to guide you towards healing. Deciding to deal with the traumatic experiences in your life takes immense courage, and I would feel honored to walk with you through this process.
Sex therapy is like any type of psychotherapy. You treat the condition by talking through your experiences, worries, and feelings. Together we work out coping mechanisms to help improve your responses in the future so that you can have a healthier sex life
We will focus on improving the communication, solving family problems, understanding and handling special family situations, and create a better functioning home environment. In addition, we will also focus on exploring the interactional dynamics of the family and its relationship to psychopathology.
